Application of neural-fuzzy control-based active power filters in electric propulsion ships

Abstract

Active power filter (APF) is introduced to suppress harmonics and compensate reactive power. And a hybrid neural-fuzzy based on APF is proposed and applied in an electric propulsion ship. Simulation results show that the proposed APF has better performance in harmonics suppression and dynamic DC voltage comparing with conventional APFs.
