In order to improve the efficiency of the whole energy system of ship and reduce EEOI value, the paper established the exergy analysis model of ship’s main engine system, and calculate the efficiency and the loss rate of exergy. According to the calculation of the operating parameters of the real ship, the exergy efficiency of the diesel engine combustion chamber is the lowest, and its exergy loss rate is the highest,thus it is the key point to improve ship energy efficiency.
