Minimum navigable clear width of bridge  pier under certain collision probability

Abstract

In respect of collision probability, this paper establishes a model of minimum navigable clear width of bridge pier under certain collision probability, and calculates the minimum navigable clear width of single hole oneway channel and single hole twoway channel. Results have been compared with the correlation method in Inland Navigable Standard, which has a certain practical significance for the navigation safety in the bridge area.
