Fatigue life simulation of cylinder  head for 6S50MC-C diesel

Abstract

This paper analyzes the fatigue life of cylinder head under high temperature and alternating load based on the thermalmechanical stress distribution of cylinder head. The fatigue life distributions of cylinder head in different loads are compared, and the weak areas of strength are discussed. Calculation result agrees with the actual ship sailing situation ,which can provide a reference for improving the strength of cylinder head.
