Motion simulation study of deep-sea submerged buoy system

Abstract

The submerged buoy cable motion model was established in deep sea using the lumped mass method to calculate the dynamic tension and configuration of ocean cables. The 4th Runge—Kutta method was adopted to integrate the six degree of freedom motion equation of the submerged buoy system, then movement elements and attitude change were achieved. The static computation and dynamics simulation of submerged buoy were proposed by the Matlab computer program. The results of dynamic simulations are shown to be in fairly good agreement with the static data, which indicate that two analysis methods and conclusions are validated.
