Research on feasible degree of navigation environment for CALM type single point mooring system

  • This paper serves as an assessment to feasible degree of navigation environment for Catenary Anchor Leg Mooring (CALM) system — a type of single point mooring system. By using Delphi method, eight impact factors in two hierarchies are determined to be the research objects. Then, Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) has been taken to establish the weight vector of every impact factor. Finally, taking Diantou part of Caofeidian port area as a study object, Matlab and Mathematica have been used to accomplish data processing and functional image drawing of Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation (FCE) model, after getting the
    result of the feasible degree, this paper has processed an applicability evaluation of “maximum membership degree principle”. The objective of this research is to assess the feasibility of building CALM systems from the view of navigation safety, putting forward the application process of CALM systems.
