Based on the hydrodynamic mathematical theory, the paper drew the curves of squat changing with speed under different ratios of depth and draft according to the “Design Code of General Layout for Sea Port”, and then the ratios of the under keel clearance (UKC) and draft of the ships were obtained, which has a certain guiding significance for the driver, while can also provide important basis for competent authority developing navigation rules.
