Abstract

In order to get reasonable distribution plan for berthgantry cranes of the container terminal, this paper established the optimization model of the target ship to minimize the time in port and maximize the utilization of quay crane based on continuous berths and gantry cranes coordinated scheduling problem. And according to the model, this paper designed a heuristic algorithm — extrusion algorithm, which regarded berthcrane coordinated scheduling problem as a twodimensional packing problem. And it did this by squeezing the ship in the gap in the twodimensional plot to shorten the time of the vessels in the harbor. Example analysis show that the model and algorithm constructed in this paper can effectively shorten the time of the ship in the harbor, which improve the utilization of quay crane.
