Turning motion analysis on the ship of “Yukun”  under the influence of wind and current

Abstract

The paper integrated the Matlab mathematical model and RungeKutta method to simulate the turning motion of the ship of “Yukun”. Simulating data and real data were compared with different rudder angles under the influence of wind and current to verify the turning ability of “Yukun”. Meanwhile, the paper made further research on the factors of affecting ship heeling according to the four degrees of freedom motion model.
