Numerical simulation on hydrodynamic of the submarine in steady rotation motion
Based on the CFD method and structured grid, general software FLUENT was used to solve the incompressible RANS equations. In a steady rotating coordinate system, the hydrodynamic force in the case of Re=6.5×106and different drift angles was predicted for the submarine under plain surface. A comparison between the calculation results and experimental data indicates that the prediction accuracy error of hydrodynamic force and moment is within the engineering error range, which proves the satisfaction of engineering requirement.
