Abstract

In order to study the influence of different initial flow field pressure assignment methods on the stability of numerical results of the weakly compressible SPH method, the hydrostatic pressure assignment method and the weakly compressible hypothesis assignment method were used to compare and analyze the initial flow field pressure stability of the weakly compressible SPH method with different physical models and different numerical influence factors. The contrastive study of particle number shows that the weak compressible method is better than the hydrostatic method in the field stability rate and field stability under the same particle number. The study of artificial sound velocity indicates that the method of weak compressibility is more stable and insensitive to artificial sound velocity than that of hydrostatic pressure. The comparison of the artificial viscosity illustrates that the performance of weaker hydrostatic method and the more sensitive compressible method to the artificial viscosity coefficient are easy to be affected by the change of the artificial viscosity. The weak compressible hypothesis assignment method has good robustness, which is conducive to improve the convergence speed of the initial flow field and the numerical stability of the flow field. It has certain significance for the selection of the initial assignment method of the weak compressible SPH method.
