Based on the cruise route and port-node data in 2006, 2012 and 2018, the evolution of global cruise route and port-node system in the 21st century was explored by using complex network method. It is shown that: (1) from 2006 to 2018, the trend of complex and intensive global cruise route network is significant, the clustering effect of cruise port-node network is enhanced, the global regional network of cruise route network is obvious, and there is a trend of subdivision of navigation area. The layout of cruise routes extends from regionalization to networking, and the key points gradually change from increasing cruise routes to opening new routes; (2) the evolution characteristics of cruise port-node network show hierarchical expansion weakening, the network characteristics are significant, and the types of cruise port-node are various. The tendency of cruise routes to network, the diversity of navigation areas and nodes also turns to diversity, which indicate that the attribute changes of global cruise tourism elements are increasingly complex. As a late developing country or region, it is necessary to pay attention to the development of new routes and diversified nodes.
