Abstract

In order to ensure the normal navigation of ships in the special environment of the Arctic channel, it is very important to test the ice adhesion of ship metal materials. Experiments were carried out on three common marine metals, brass, 6061 aluminum alloy and Q235. The surface ice adhesion strength of the three metals at different temperatures and humidity was measured, and the relationship between each other was analyzed. The results show that the variation law of ice adhesion strength is consistent with the liquidlike layer theory; the tangential ice adhesion strength of brass, 6061 aluminum alloy and Q235 increases firstly, and then decreases with the decrease of temperature, and the changing trend is basically the same; the brass and 6061 aluminum alloy are most affected by humidity.
