Abstract

In order to understand the characteristics of the flow field in aero-engines and gas turbines, so as to carry out targeted optimization designs to improve their performance, it is necessary to accurately measure the flow fields of aero-engines and gas turbines. Five-hole probe is a widely used flow field measurement method, which can accurately obtain the flow field parameters such as total pressure, static pressure, velocity. The performance of the five-hole probe directly af-fects the accuracy of the measurement results, and the performance of the five-hole probe is directly related to the shape of the probe. In this paper, the influence of the shape of five-hole probe on its performance is analyzed in detail by experi-mental method. The results show that the spherical probe has a more uniform distribution in both direction and pressure calibration coefficients than the conical probe, and the measurement results are more accurate when using the five-hole probe of the spherical probe.
