With the melting of Arctic sea-ice, the study of Chinese Arctic issues has attracted the attention of many scholars. Based on the review of the literature in the field of Chinese Arctic scientific research from 1977 to 2021, with the help of Citespace, this paper analyzes the authors and institutions of Chinese Arctic research and their research themes and focuses, and proposes that the current Chinese Arctic research still suffers from the lack of substantial cooperation between natural science research and philosophical and social science research, and the lack of theoretical foundation support, etc. We then propose themes and development directions for future Arctic research in China, taking into account factors such as climate change and international political and economic trends.
